This is one of the mystical story about an earth life of a water Goddess. Her name means the sunlight of water. Nowadays, she was presented in many different cultures as a Bodhisattva or a worshipped Goddess. She was pictured as a powerful figure riding on a lion and a holding a staff or saw, which represents clarity, or cut off the evils or demons. The truth of the story about her riding on a giant beast was totally forgotten or being only seen the power it looked like. The real wisdom is much needed to learn from her true being rather than admiring her power.

Far ancient time, people lived in a tribe hunting for food most of time. A little girl, named sunlight of water, Ruiee, was trained as a warrior, a fearless young hunter, carrying her wooden staff all the time, the wood stick was wrapped with animal skins. When she was about 9-years old, one day, she went out to a stream. The water was so clear to be able to see the pebbles. Trees were surrounded, many plants and grasses. Ruiee was squaring down on the shore, looking at the water, watching her reflection in the water, and singing a beautiful song. She putting a hand pocking in this crystal clear water, she was so focused like being in a deep trans state. She was so enjoying what she was doing.  It was all by herself.

All of sudden, she saw a giant leopard right near to her. This giant leopard had orange color with black spots, a very strong animal in the wild jungle. A sudden fear and shock rising, Ruiee fell down over on her back, lying on the ground, her breath became short. This moment, her hand was still holding on her staff. To survive form a hungry animal, she had to kill that beast with her staff.

At a moment, Ruiee had a chance to throw her staff to kill the cat. But when she and the big cat eye to eye seeing each other, this little girl was amazed by the beauty of this giant cat, a feeling of strong admiration of the beauty to this wild leopard arising inside her heart. Ruiee was so much admiring to this cat and didn’t want to hurt him. She surrendered herself completely to accept the fate to allow this leopard to kill her, instead of choosing to harm this leopard with her staff even though she had a chance to do so.

This leopard felt exactly what this little girl felt. He was able to understand this little girl’s thought, and understanding that she was very much admiring his beauty. He didn’t make any movement to harm her at all, but sitting next to her and tried to be closer to her.

Later whenever Ruiee came to the stream, she saw this big leopard waiting for her and stayed with her until she went to home. This little girl still held her wooden staff all the time. Leopard came to see her in the jungle more and more, later this giant leopard stayed with Ruiee all the time. They became unseparated friends. She was able to ride on this leopard if she wanted. That made her very special in the tribe.

This girl developed strong soul connection to animals. She could communicate with many wild animals such as chaeta, fox, wolf, leopard, rabbit, and birds. People of the tribe were very proud of her ability to communicate with animals. Tribe people always thought this little girl must be very strong and powerful, so that she could dominant this leopard.

The truth was this little girl was totally given in, without fear, or defense herself, but sincerely admiring the cat’s beauty completely and choose not hurt this cat. This little girl’s admiration gained the admiration of Leopard’s to this little girl. Her kindness and respect won the love and loyalty of this leopard. With her kindness, this girl was able to receive the gift from the nature. Leopard became her loyal protector and servant.

Because of this special connection and power Ruiee had, the tribe chose her to be the leader of the tribe. This little girl grew up and became the leader of the tribe. She taught her tribe how to use plants for food and heal. She taught people how to be kind to each other and be kind to the nature and wild animals. People started to do farming and not relying on hunting animals for food.
